Mission & Identity

At St. Mary’s Central High School, we are faithfully committed to provide our students the opportunity to encounter Christ. We believe that the fundamental identity of every student is that they are a child of God, who has been redeemed through the passion, death, and resurrection of Christ. As a Catholic high school, our responsibility of assisting our students to grow in this identity takes place primarily through a lived experience of Jesus through a life of prayer and the sacramental life of the Catholic Church. Through a faithful and nourishing spiritual formation, we are committed to providing our students of all faiths the ability to authentically receive the fullness of life, which is found in a life-giving relationship with Jesus Christ.

We desire our students to receive a holistic education that enables them to seek that which is good, true, and beautiful. As a Catholic high school, we are grateful for and committed to the teachings and practices of the Catholic Church, which have been given to us by Christ and entrusted to the apostles and their successors. Through a rich and integrated academic foundation, we allow the minds of our students to discover the truths about the world, themselves, and God—who is the foundation of all truth. In all academic endeavors, we seek to allow our students the ability to think clearly, to reason well, and to love unconditionally.
